SPEAKER AGREEMENT

The Speaker agrees to the following with respect to their speaking engagement with NAEO:

Responsibilities:

• The Speaker agrees to present their session on the date and time provided by NAEO, as laid out in the presentation description.
• The Speaker agrees to meet all deadlines and understands that missing deadlines could impact the inclusion of their session within the selected date/time frame.
• The Speaker agrees to notify NAEO immediately in the event that an emergency prevents them from meeting their obligation as a session Speaker.
• The Speaker agrees to abide by the Event Code of Conduct during their presentation.

No Payment:

The Speaker agrees to participate in the Event on a voluntary basis. The Speaker understands and acknowledges that no compensation will be provided for their participation, including but not limited to speaking fees, travel expenses, accommodation, or any other form of payment, unless othewise specified.

Rights:

The Speaker acknowledges and agrees that:

a. The Organizer may record, broadcast and distribute the Presentation (in whole or in part) in any medium, including but not limited to online platforms, websites, social media, and other digital formats, without any further permission required from the Speaker.

b. The Speaker agrees that the Organizer retains full rights to use the recorded Presentation for promotional, educational, and archival purposes.

c. "While the Speaker retains ownership of the original content of the Presentation, they are responsible for ensuring that all information, materials, or content included in the Presentation are used in compliance with copyright, intellectual property, and licensing laws. The Speaker may not include any plagiarized material or content for which they do not have explicit permission or legal rights to use. Any use of third-party content must be appropriately credited and legally authorized."

d. The Speaker agrees to ensure to the best of their ability, that the information in the Presentation is factually accurate, and contains nothing libelous or otherwise unlawful.

e. The Speaker grants the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, distribute, and display the content of the Presentation for the purposes outlined above, including in any recorded format.

f. Any and all copyright infringement regulations must be adhered to and annotated within the presentation/slides/documents.

g.  The Speaker agrees to de-identify (remove) all personal data/information/images in any form (written, audio, visual, video, or other) that could identify a person who has not explicitly consented to that person’s personal data/information/image being included in the Presentation. The Speaker understands that this may require deleting, masking, blurring, pixelating, distorting, cropping, or modifying the data in other ways.

Limitation of Liability

The Speaker agrees to hold the Organizer harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with the Speaker's participation in the Event, including the content of their Presentation.

Indemnification

The Speaker agrees to indemnify and defend the Organizer from and against any claims, demands, or legal actions arising from the Speaker's Presentation or any other act or omission by the Speaker in connection with the Event.

Severability

Any provisions of this agreement which is prohibited or unenforceable shall be ineffective only to the extent of such prohibition or unenforceability without invalidating the remaining provisions of this agreement.
